HTX, formerly known as Huobi, has successfully reinstated deposit and withdrawal services for Bitcoin (BTC), Ether (ETH), Tron (TRX), and Tether (USDT) after falling victim to a $30 million exploit on November 22.
In a blog post dated November 26, the crypto exchange announced the restoration of functionality for multiple currencies, marking a significant recovery from the recent security breach.
In a subsequent Twitter post, Justin Sun, the influential figure associated with HTX, expressed the completion of the majority of the recovery efforts. He outlined the exchange’s commitment to gradually reestablishing services for the remaining cryptocurrencies and anticipated the full restoration to be accomplished “by next week.”
This incident was part of a series of security breaches affecting platforms linked to or controlled by Justin Sun. HTX’s exchange hot wallets were compromised in a $30 million hack, contributing to the four hacks in the past six months on Sun-associated crypto platforms.

On the same day as HTX’s exploit, the HTX Eco (HECO) Chain bridge, which includes HTX, Tron, and BitTorrent, suffered an $86.6 million attack.
The broader Sun-owned crypto ecosystem faced challenges, with Poloniex experiencing a $100 million attack on November 10. CertiK, a blockchain security firm, suggested that the Poloniex breach was likely a result of a compromised private key.
Notably, on September 24, shortly after Huobi rebranded to HTX, the exchange encountered another security incident, with an attacker pilfering nearly $8 million in crypto from its hot wallet.
