Blockchain investigator LookOnChain has uncovered a significant Ethereum (ETH) transfer made by Vitalik Buterin to the popular cryptocurrency exchange, Coinbase. According to blockchain data, Buterin executed a deposit of 400 ETH, valued at approximately $632,000, into the largest U.S. exchange. This transaction has stirred intrigue and conjecture within the cryptocurrency community.
This recent development follows another substantial transfer by Buterin just a month ago, as previously reported by U.Today. In that instance, Buterin moved 600 ETH, roughly equivalent to $1 million, into his Coinbase wallet. The latest transfer has elicited a mixed response from the crypto community, with many enthusiasts sharing humorous remarks while pondering the underlying motivations for such a sizable move.
Some community members are left wondering whether this points to a potential strategic adjustment or if it’s merely a routine transaction.
Interestingly, despite the ongoing speculations and discussions, the price of Ethereum has shown remarkable stability, currently holding at $1,570. According to CoinGecko, Ethereum has boasted a trading volume exceeding $5 billion in the past 24 hours.
